Below are the answers to our most common SEO questions. If you have a question that is not answered here, or just want to chat, please contact us.

SEO stands for “Search Engine Optimisation” and is the process that drives a website to appear higher in the organic search results of Google and other search engines. By making your website more visible than the competition, you get more website visitors and conversions. Learn more about how SEO works.
No, there are no contracts at SEO Copilot. If an SEO company wants to lock you into a fixed term contract, you have to question their confidence in keeping you as a client by getting real results.
Keyword rankings are important to measure, but they are not the end goal. We track keywords for insight on the campaign to drive traffic growth and leads. So the number of keywords is not fixed and we add new keywords as we progress and expand.
SEO is not a short term game, although there are early signs of what’s to come. Our clients see ranking improvements within 3 months. We aim to provide more search traffic than an equivalent monthly spend on Google Adwords, and typically pass that point within 6 months.
The traffic, calls and ROI build up the longer you do SEO.  Our average client’s search traffic value in 2019 is 4.2x their monthly investment compared to Google Adwords. This doesn’t include the social media or referral traffic generated by the SEO campaigns.
There’s no university course that can teach you how to do this. Experience matters. Chris Finnegan, founder of SEO Copilot has been involved in the SEO industry since 2007.
At the average SEO company only 60% of your budget is spent on actively adding value to the campaign. At SEO Copilot we focus on delivering value and results. There are no sales or account managers chewing up your budget. The staff you hear from are actively working on your campaign.
You more than likely found us on page one of Google to be reading this. We are good and what we do but can only work with a limited number of clients, so we are selective. We have grown to become a leader in local SEO services. That means if you run a local services business, our SEO packages are designed to maximise ROI for you!
With a local SEO focus, we can target and dominate the different regions you service. Whether you’re a plumbing company with a service area large or small, or a hairdresser with one or more salons. Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane each consist of multiple regions. Smaller cities such as the Gold Coast or Newcastle are considered single regions.
The right SEO package for you depends on your industry, the number of regions you service and how accelerated you want your campaign to be. Get in touch for a quick chat about your business and advice from one of our Local SEO experts.
To get started we’ll have some questions about your business and need some access details to setup the campaign. We recommend our clients post on Facebook (we syndicate this content across multiple websites) and ask for reviews on Google to assist the campaign. We’ll show you how.
At the beginning of each month we send an easy to understand report covering the metrics that matter. Conversions, website traffic, top pages, keyword ranking and Google maps performance are included. During the month we’ll share activity highlights from your campaign such as new website content or high value links.

Every SEO package includes SEO consultation time to discuss your campaign and answer any questions you may have. When the reports are sent out we invite you to book a consultation. We are happy to answer any questions about SEO, but this is not an SEO course. It’s important to stick to the allocated consultation time and maximise time spent actively working on your campaign results.
